The new leaf bolts securelyunder your main leaf to provide the extra support neededfor a taller XJ, while not over-stressing the other leavesin the pack. We found that the actuallift will vary +/- 1/2" depending on the initial condition of the leaf packs. The add-a-leaf also provides ahigher spring rate which will increase your load carrying capacity. Despite the higher spring rate, the new add-a-leafsprings are thin and will not produce a harsh feeling ride.
