This uncirculated 50 Jamaican dollar banknote is a standard circulation note that is dated 15 January 2001 and signed by Governor Derick Milton Latibeaudiere. It is a purple, green, and red note that measures 145 mm x 68 mm. Its obverse side contains English text, an underprint with parrots, morning glory flowers (ipomoea), the national coat of arms, periwinkle flowers, and a portrait of Samuel Sharpe. Its reverse side showcases Doctor’s Cave Beach in Montego Bay. Security features include a 2-mm wide windowed security thread with a demetalized BOJ 50 and a watermark of a red-billed streamertail hummingbird (Doctor Bird) with an electrotype star.
