Sheffield Silverplate Sugar Bowl Scuttle Scoop England. Stunning hand etched JOHN TURTON & Co Silver plated Sugar Scuttle & Scoop Hand-etched ca 1915. This comes together with the darling little sugar scoop, which often is missing from these scuttles. Made by the old, respectable company of John Turton & Co probably around 1918. It is stamped and hallmarked "John Turton & Co. LD" "EP" "Made in England" on the bottom. It's hand etched with a lovely pattern, an elegant reminder of more genteel times when craftsmanship was valued. A truly wonderful hand-made piece for a Thanksgiving or Christmas table setting. In great vintage condition.
