Check the listing for details. KNIFE AND AIRBORN GLIDER PATCH TO A KIA OFFICER. Condition: Used. Listed at 150.00 USD. This is an interesting pair of items. They were owned by Capt. Artemas J Shell, 465th Field Artillery Bat. Airborne/glider. He died Oct 25, 1944. During the liberation of the Phillipines. This are effects sent home after his loss. One item is a belt knife, probably made in the Pacific theater, as it has multi colored handle section and somewhat crude blade. Has a typical military fiberglass scabbard all in all good shape. the patch is the red and white airborne glider patch with the attached Airborn bar. Taken from his military scrapbook and still has some glue on the back. With this is a couple sheets one with notification of death, and the other is the copy of his photo, showing the patch. He does not have a gravesite, as his remains were never found, and is listed on a memorial tablet of Missing at the Manila American Cemtery. See photos for conditions.
