This is a New Knife Maker's Center Line Angle Block Scribe. These are used the same way you would use a height gauge. The body is made from a 2" X 2" X 2" Precision Angle Block. There is swivel block attached to the angle block with a spring loaded clamping lever handle. The swivel block is solid steel. It is 3/4" thick X 3/4" wide X 1-5/8" long and holds a rugged scribe pen in place with a threaded brass thumb screw. The thumb screw is solid brass and will not chew up the scribe body. The carbide rod on the scribe pen has a very heavy beautifully ground carbide point. This scribe will adjust from Zero to over 3" high by simply loosening the clamp handle and swiveling the block up. You can place the swivel block to where it suits you best as the angle block has 2 holes. One in either corner. These are simple and easy to use to make a single or the dual lines. You can even use a pencil if you want to use it for marking scales. The rugged scribe pen is made of steel with a heavy carbide tip. It can be removed and used for general fabrication.
