Self made reproduction model 1936 Red Army large ration food bag, used for carrying crackers (hard tack), tinned and boxed food as part of the emergency rations. Made of natural cotton calico sourced here in the UK, and closed with a string tie. Bag is approximately 32 cm x 20 cm. It's dimensions and design are copied directly from an original green bag in my own collection, but inspired by photographs of an original white bag.
