A 1950's Canada goose with balsa wood body, redwood head, glass eyes. Note the rare and unique "swan like" head and neck position (note the secure neck and bill repairs). Please see pp. 319-325 of Mike Miller's "Wildfowl Decoys of California" and pp. 258-261 in Miller and Hanson's "Wildfowl Decoys of the Pacific Coast." A superb collectible decoy by an admired, notable California carver. Cosmetic conditions can be seen in photos.
