The obverse of this violet banknote features King Moshoeshoe II, King Letsie III, King Moshoeshoe I, and the coat of arms of Lesotho depicting a crocodile on a shield with a Basotho horse on each side. The reverse of the note depicts men on horseback and a Basotho hat. Security features of this banknote include a windowed security thread with a demetallized CBL and four-leaf clovers. It also contains a watermark that reflects King Moshoeshoe I wearing a top hat, an electrotype 50 capped with a Basotho hat, and Cornerstones.
