Savage Gardeners LIVE CARNIVOROUS PLANT - The Sarracenia, also known as the trumpet pitcher, is a genus of carnivorous plants that are native to the United States and Canada. They have a stunning explosion of appearances from the low growing psittacina to the impressive leucophylla.NATURE'S PEST CONTROL - Sarracenia attracts insects with a lovely patch of sweet nectar right at the base of the lid. Insects are drawn to this nectar and are encouraged by tiny downward facing hairs to move down into the pitcher. At some point the insect loses its footing and falls down the tube. At this point the bug slowly converted into plant food through digestion by enzymes and bacteria. Yum yum!GROWING INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED - A detailed grower's guide will be included with your purchaseSHIPS POTTED - Plants are shipped potted to minimize the chance of damage in transit Your new plant is a medium-sized plant.
