Check the listing for details. McBain Instruments American Optical AO 580 Stereo Star 1x-6x Zoom Microscope. Condition: For parts or not working. Listed at 193.99 USD. The microscope has multiple functional issues. The left eyepiece displays an image, but with reduced contrast. The right eyepiece does not produce an image at all. The zoom control does not operate through its full range and produces an unusual noise. With the eyepieces removed, it is apparent that the right-side zoom optics are not moving in sync with the left-side optics. The focus mechanism is extremely stiff, and the auxiliary objective is missing its optics. For this reason, we are selling the unit AS-IS for parts/repair as a non-working or incomplete unit. We have not tested / inspected any further, item may have unknown issues we are not aware of.
