Description: The Motorola FFE-8- S/RP series of feederline equalizers is designed to compensate for feeder cable slope, and thus provide improved "window" specifications. The latest version of Motorola's FFE product includes the option of adding attenuation to the return path (5-40 MHz) that enables improved signal-to-noise performance and tighter gain variances. The equalizer circuit is contained in the same type of housing as the SSP splitters, directional couplers, and power inserters. All Motorola FFE-8- S/RP equalizers are available in a variety of bandwidths and frequency splits. All electronics are included in the faceplate so that upgrades and replacements can be performed without splicing in a new housing. All models, except the FFE-HSG/87S/RP, are shipped with an 8 dB equalizer installed. The FFE-HSG/87S/RP is shipped without a plug-in equalizer and will accept any frequency Motorola SFE- - plug-in equalizer, in any available dB value. The FFE-8- S/RP feederline equalizers include return path padding capability. Return path padding can be used to reduce the level of the return path signals. These equalizers use standard Motorola JXP- B attenuator pads. Several frequency splits are also supported.
