This solid brass wheel marking gauge is the newest installment from Narex Tools in the Czech Republic. The off center or eccentric placement of the beam in the head provides a larger registration surface and keeps the gauge from rolling off your bench. The 1-1/2” diameter head is precision machined solid, polished brass. The 7-1/2” long x 5/16” beam is polished stainless steel with metric and imperial graduation marks. Graduation marks extend to 5”, but the maximum distance that can be scribed is 6” The 3/8” cutter is hardened tool steel and can be fully retracted in the head to protect when not in use. The oversize 5/8” diameter solid brass thumb screw securely locks the head to the beam.
