Excellent (see description) The pelham bit is usually used with two sets of reins. The top rein works on the corners of the horse's mouth assisting in turning and guiding while the bottom rein acts primarily on the bars, helping with control and collection. The mouthpiece is covered in rubber, making it gentler on the bars of the horse's mouth. This bit has the shorter Tom Thumb style cheeks that are popular in the show ring. "Centaur" and the size are marked on the shanks. Includes curb hooks and chain. This bit is new with hangtag attached. It was lightly handled in a store so there are some cosmetic marks (mainly creases in the paper hangtag), but nothing that will affect its performance in any way. A very nice quality bit!
