Check the listing for details. Nineteenth Century French Etui. Listed at 450.00 USD. This rare vintage French silver ladies etui dates from the 1860’s. The rectangular repousee silver hinged case is exceptionally designed with an elaborately decorated dimensional lid cover. The cover showcases a detailed oval panel depicting several putti children enjoying a dog & her litter of puppies. The children’s faces, as well as, the animals are beautifully rendered with a vermeil appearance. A decorative floral motif compliments the scenic panel. The interior features a divided burgundy velvet interior. The case has a secure locking mechanism. It is hallmarked with the profile of the winged god Mercury (figures 8 & 9) & has a diamond shape punch mark with the letters E & R separated by a torch or staff (figure 10). Condition of this etui is very good. 3 3/8” long X 2” wide X 3/4” deep
