Wonderful Oak Firescreen Framed Royal Navy Dreadnought Sailors Woolwork or Woolie (c.1914) This is in great condition with some imperfections to the woolwork, it’s framed behind glass in this well made solid oak firescreen that measures 31”H x 23” x 9”D. It depicts a late 19thC Dreadnought battleship framed in a laurel entwined with the Union flag of Great Britain and the French tricolour. It also has two flying bi-planes of the Royal Flying Corps to the top corners. Great way of displaying this amazing embroidery!
