This card was designed for issue to Iraqi EPWs immediately after their capture and move to thr rear area camp.Note that this "Desert Shield" card was first designated for use during the defensive stage of the operation before the ground war began. The card could be foded and placed in a prisoner's pocket os a hole could be punched in it allowing the prisoner to wear it around his neck.
