Check the listing for details. Operator / Test Position Time Clock - Vintage Western Electric Bell System. Condition: Used. Listed at 125.00 USD. I have for sale a vintage counter. It took me a while to figure out what it is and who made it, but I found another listing that mentions it's an operator \ test position time clock made by Western Electric, for use in the bell telephone system. They were used at operator and or test positions and would increment every 6 seconds. The "ones" and "tens" reel have the normal ten digits. The "hundreds" reel has 0-5 and then repeats (showing that it's for the "tens" digit in minutes.). The "thousands" digit, or leftmost one which has digits from 1-12. If it shows 12 5 2 3, that means "12 hours, 52 minutes, 18 seconds", because the first digit ticks every 6 seconds. No idea when it was made but they're most definitely old. Hood is removable and slides off with ease. Counter can be incremented easily by hand. I actually have 4 of these - buy multiple and save with volume pricing!!
