Check the listing for details. Original Unissued Belgian WW2 Type L.702 Gasmask. Condition: New. Listed at 155.00 USD. The Belgian L.702 gasmask was introduced in the late 1930s as a protective measure for Belgian soldiers during World War II. It was an improvement over previous models, with a more comfortable fit and a filter that could be easily replaced. The mask was used extensively by Belgian soldiers during the early stages of the war, production of these models was halted after the German invasion of Belgium in 1940 never to resume again. Although it was eventually replaced by more advanced models, the L.702 remains a significant artifact of Belgium's wartime history and a testament to the ingenuity of its designers. This specimen in particular is a stunning and fully complete example of a pre invasion model with no rips in the rubber or any major flaws, coming with the original manual, filter and replacement visor lenses wrapped in its same 1940’s parchment as well as the post war surplus inspection sticker on the filter, all around an amazing piece
