Construction in sterling silver with clutch-back fastener (sterling clutch back fasteners are included). Great condition. Early to mid-1930s production through WWII. By the end of the war in September 1945, the U.S. had 32 four-star officers (Generals and Admirals) across all service branches, in addition to seven five-star officers (Generals of the Army and Fleet Admirals).
