This colorful patchwork coverlet is a great size for a doll bed, as it measures 17" x 23". Or it could be used as a wall-hanging if you added some loops or hooks. It is machine stitched except for the red embroidered flower shape on the reverse side. The prints used in the patchwork side include some that are smooth cotton and some that are a slightly coarser weave, which I think are feedsack prints. It is basically a crazy quilt design although the overall effect is well-balanced. I am guessing the coverlet is from the 1940s or possibly earlier.
