I originally tried mounting my pegboard using regular spacers and they are almost impossible to hold in place while you get the peg board up. Between trying to level the board, hit the stud, and keep the spacer in place I kept dropping them and they roll away. This led me to design these spacers to make mounting a breeze. With these spacers you just stick them in the peg above or below where you want to put your screws and they hold themselves in place while you level, hold, and drill the board into place. You can put them all in the board before doing anything just space them 16 pegs apart and use a stud-finder to mark your first stud and you should hit the stud every time (assuming your studs are 16 inches apart which is standard), They give you about half an inch of gap between the wall and your peg board, I find this is the perfect amount to keep the board close as possible to the wall while giving enough space to put stuff in the pegs. Screws not included but it works with almost any screw. I recommend the one in the photo which is a 2 inch standard drywall screw. Easy 1-Person Install:1.Put the pegs in the board above, below, or next to wherever you want to put screws. Make sure the holes line up, they should hold in place no matter how you put them. You will probably want them in rows 16 inches apart if your studs are spaced 16 inch.Mark one stud.Screw the topmost one into the studLevel the board with the one screw in and install another screw.Install the rest of the screws and your done, make sure you feel the screw hit a stud.See the photos for picture examples of each step.
