This uncirculated 500 Philippine piso note is a circulating commemorative banknote issued by the Central Bank of the Philippines to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Central Bank of the Philippines. It is a yellow, orange, and black note that is dated 2009, bear the signatures of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and Amando Maglalang Tetangco Jr., and measures 160 mm x 66 mm. Its obverse side features a dove with an olive branch, the bank seal, the Philippine flag, the portrait of Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino, and the blue and red 60 1949-2009 CENTRAL BANKING IN THE PHILIPPINES overprint. Its reverse side shows Aquino as a correspondent in the Korean War, four people holding hands, a woman and child giving flowers to soldiers, a teacher and student, and the Tarlac Capitol building. Security features include a windowed security thread with demetallized 500, a solid security thread, and a watermark of Benigno Aquino Jr. The note was demonetized in 2017.
