Note, this is for an existing installation as no brass adapters/fittings are included. It is assumed you already have an instrument with a PiezoBarrel pickup adapter already installed and just want another pickup. Included:- PiezoBarrel V1 Saxophone Pickup.4m long 3.5mm to 6.3mm shielded cable to plug in to standard 6.3mm (1/4 inch) line or instrument socket.Small Philips screwdriver to adjust output level. Features:- Pickup screws in to the instrument with a M6 x 1.0 standard metric thread. High signal to noise ratio Does not require pre-amplifier Output voltage is adjustable between zero and full output voltagePickup can be unscrewed from an instrument and screwed into another instrument that has the pickup adapter fitted. Low feedback. As the pickup is built in to the instrument, external sounds have very little impact on the output signal. Can be connected directly to mixers, recorders or guitar amplifiers as well as standard Guitar effect pedals and loop stations. Reproduces the natural sound of the instrument.Works particularly well with guitar effect pedals. Additional information:-The pickup works on the pressure from the standing wave inside the instrument - not mechanically transmitted sound (unlike a stick-on pickup). This means that a hole has to be drilled into the bore of the mouthpiece for the pickup to work properly (see the sample pictures showing typical installations). This hole is blocked (with a blocking screw) so the instrument can be played without the pickup. The pickup will work with wireless systems but will generally need a custom cable for the specific wireless system. Wireless systems designed for guitar usually work best. The volume control on the pickup can be used to reduce the output voltage from the pickup to prevent distortion with wireless mic systems. The output socket in the pickup is a stereo 1/8 inch connector with the signal on the tip and earth on the ring and sleeve. If the supplied cable is not used then a shielded cable is recommended to prevent noise and hum.
