Pillar installation assists in accuracy as it prevents crushing of the stock and prevent stress cracks. Pillars also keep the action from twisting or moving. Consistency is key in accuracy. These pillars are for those wishing to inlet their own rifle stocks. The pillar Bedding Studs are CNC machined Stainless Steel. The threaded rod is used to assist in placing the pillars and cutting to them to length. Simply scuff up the exterior with some sand paper prior to installation and be sure to degrease. This a DIY kit. In order to utilize this kit you must drill out the stock, and epoxy or "glue" these into place. Final fit and finish will need to be done during installation. A chamfer may be required on the bottom inner diameter of the pillars to allow for action screw fitment. A drill press is recommended but many have used a hand drill or sand paper around a dowel with some patience. This system is used to keep bedding compound out of the threaded action screw holes and off of the action screws while bedding a stock.
