Check the listing for details. Pioneer QX-949 Complete Rebuild Kit High-Quality Receiver Recap W/ Transistors. Condition: New. Listed at 250.00 USD. Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Pioneer QX-949. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild a Pioneer QX-949 (NOT the QX-949A, which is different), and includes the correct size replacement main capacitors. This does not include new lights, fuses, or any resistors. This also does not include the output transistors. Correct replacement outputs are MJ21195G/MJ21196G, available here. Please don't buy any of the fake Chinese transistors on eBay--those are counterfeit and may blow up. This kit includes replacements for all the electrolytic capacitors in the receiver, including the four main filter capacitors, which are replaced with Chemi-Con 10000 uf 80v caps. The new caps are the same diameter as the old ones so they will fit the old clamps perfectly. The kit also includes replacements for almost all the transistors on all the boards except the tuner board. Transistors frequently age worse than the capacitors, so you have to replace them when you're doing a rebuild. The kit for the power supply includes replacement diodes and zener diodes, which are important to replace. A new Omron LYF-4-DC24 relay is included to replace the chassis-mount relay, as well as standoffs so you can mount it properly. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild Pioneer equipment. Capacitors are Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Nichicon Muse, Panasonic FC, Wima film, one axial Illinois capacitor, and Chemi-Con for the main filters. Transistors are Fairchild/Onsemi. The Pioneer QX-949 is a quad receiver, which means it has a LOT more parts in it than a typical vintage stereo receiver. This kit includes a total of 319 parts, which is more than any other kit I sell. This will be a long, slow rebuild. The parts for each board are individually bagged for ease of installation, and the instructions will tell you how the transistors go in and will make it easy to figure out which diodes go where, but there are a LOT of parts to replace here, so if you do not have a lot of experience with vintage gear I would not recommend starting with this one. You should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron, a desoldering gun such as a Hakko FR-301, heat-sink compound, and a dim-bulb tester with 100W incandescent bulb. I have rebuilt several QX-747s, which are almost the same thing as this, and I rebuilt a QX-9900 as well. It's not that hard, just very tedious. US shipping and handling is $12, and international is $28. If you have any questions, please ask. Looking for more parts? I have power switches, feet, pushbuttons, top case screws, bottom screws, faceplate screws, white LED fuse lamps, blue LED fuse lamps, 6.3v bi-pin bulbs, 8v bi-pin bulbs, 12v bi-pin bulbs, wired 8v 60ma bulbs, new power cords, new main capacitors for the Marantz 1060/2230, wired Pioneer speaker plug replacements, new 630v yellow film capacitors at 38 different values, new 1200v yellow film capacitors at 15 values, a large variety of transistors for vintage stereo repair, new Wima film capacitors for stereo repair, new 250v yellow film crossover capacitors, and more. Just use "add to cart" on everything you want and then check out for combined shipping.
