Our gate latch from our 2019 Sun Tracker Party Barge 22 DLX broke and there isn't a replacement online with the exact match so we made this. 3D printed replacement that replaces the factory latch. Should work on other pontoon boats with same 1 1/4 inch square frame. There are other gate latches on the internet that you can buy, but they require drilling new holes and other things. This design mimics the factory so no need to drill any new holes. You use the same hole, bolt and nut. The weak spot in the factory latch is the top part where the bolt goes through, there is thin plastic in that joint that will break over time. Our 3D printed latch is much thicker so it should be stronger. UPDATE: We have noticed while putting this to use, the PLA+ (Polylactic acid) plastic material has a slight warp due to outside temperature but still functional. This could be because we used the Black one which absorbs more heat. We will switch out to white color and see how that goes. Because of this, we'll give you two options to purchase. You can choose PLA+ plastic which is still functional but may warp over time, or choose PC (Polycarbonate) which is the toughest plastic out there and will not warp at all. We have only 1 special printer that can print PC and because this material is tough to work with, more expensive, we have to charge more. PC is so strong, it's virtually unbreakable. Update2: Using White PLA + material for the top latch seems to hold up well in 100+ degrees weather in California and I have not noticed any warping. To streamline our process, we'll only print in color White. How to Buy:This does not come with the bolt or nut. This kit contains the main bracket, top latch with bolt nub, round disc lock and foam padding.If you just need to top portion, just choose the top option; otherwise choose the complete kit.
