This rustic wooden shoe shine box got a lot of use based on the wear, rub, and coloration of the tote and shoe prop handle. Hails from the days when most folks wore leather shoes and a good shine kept you looking sharp and your shoes in good condition. No reason why it couldn't hold shoe shine items again but might be more fun to hold tools, drink bottles, art supplies, menus, etc. Like other antique/vintage primitives, it is made to be practical/sturdy and has a feeling of history and soul.
