I will be traveling a lot over the next few years so decided to switch to a bus powered interface. Also, understand this is a mastering grade converter so is crystal clear. If your room is untreated, it will reveal that in the recordings. It doesn't do you any favors in that regard but when you have decent acoustics, bass feels infinite, mid is neutral, treble is detailed and air is ever present, no need to boost air in EQ for some vocals with this. Gorgeous and more detailed than any converter I have used. However, I am a medical student and sadly need the money to travel from place to place on rotation. I will likely re-purchase this when I am settled again. By the way, because I am neurotic and received bad audio equipment on here so I had the unit checked out and cleared by a guy over at Lyra. Squeaky clean distortion. Unit has not gotten much use as I have been buried in my studies. Please purchase this if you are a serious audio engineer and want to upgrade your audio quality. this still has 2 more years of its manufacture warranty as well.
