Rare Balmoral Castle programme of pipe music with the cypher of King George V and Queen Mary. The programme and postcard have been signed by Pipe Major Henry Forsyth (1872-1941), he enlisted in the Scots Guard in 1887. He served in the South African War of 1899 - 1902 under General Rundel. He was appointed piper to the Duke of York (later George V) in 1905. He made recordings for several companies including Edison and Edison Bell which survive today.
