Compared to conventional V-Drums kits - which were already the quietest kits on the market - the resulting background noise was reduced by an incredible 75 percent. The PDQ-8S Snare Pad has a sound-absorbing, honeycomb rubber layer inside the mesh head. There are specially designed ventilation openings on the underside of the playing surface that dissipate the resulting air pressur.
