This used 10,000 Romanian leu banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the National Bank of Romania in 2001. It is a green, blue, and yellow polymer banknote that is dated 2000/2001, bears the signatures of Mugur Constantin Isarescu and Ionel Nitu, and measures 143 mm x 63 mm. Its obverse side depicts the national coat of arms, gentian flowers (Gentiana asclepiadaea), the BNR monogram, and a portrait of Nicolae Iorga. Its reverse side portrays a crusader eagle with a cross in its beak, the Romanian Orthodox Cathedral in Curtea de Arges, and the BNR monogram. Security features include a flower registration device and a shadow image of Nicolae Iorga and the BNR monogram. Because it is a polymer banknote, it does not have a security thread. The banknote was withdrawn in 2005.
