This uncirculated 500 Francs Rwanda note is a specimen banknote issued by the National Bank of Rwanda. It is a pink, green, and light blue note that is dated 1998, bear the signatures of Francois Mutemberezi and Pierre Rwakayigamba, and measures 136 x 74 mm. Its obverse side features three mountain gorillas. Its reverse side shows two boys and a girl seated, reading books and National Museum of Rwanda buildings in Butare (Musée National). Security features include a solid security thread with demetalized BNR and a watermark of Intore dancer’s head and electrotype BNR. This note contains a diagonal red “SPECIMEN” overprint on the front and back and horizontal red number on the lower left in front of the banknote.
