If you have ever gotten frustrated with the liquid vinyl or rubber tool dips that are available, you will welcome this innovation. I supply my ToolSleeves tm in (4) diameters: 1/8", 3/16" (most popular), 1/4", and 3/8". They are made of a special flexible plastic tubing which shrinks to 1/3 (!) its original size when heated properly.As it shrinks it hardens and conforms to the shape of whatever it is covering. The photos show the appearance of the installed TOOLSLEEVES tm before and after heating and shrinking them to fit. It is the best semi-permanent covering over metal to prevent scratches. It will last a very long time compared to the liquid dips, and yet it can be removed easily. It has an infinite shelf life, whereas the liquid dips will dry up fairly quickly. Use it on pliers, tweezers, mandrels, etc. This heat-shrink tubing is not normally available. Years ago I made arrangement with the manufacturer to produce tubing with this high shrink rate, which is necessary to fit the tapered jaws of most pliers and tweezers. An exclusive from K. H. Lee.
