Indicator light did come on when battery was replaced, but nothing appeared to happen if a button along the side were pressed. No other testing has been done on the unit. All buttons and adjustable positions appear to work properly. No obvious signs of damage to the battery compartment. Plastic housing shows no cracks, chips, discoloration, or deep scratches. Housing does show several light surface scratches and scuff marks from use. Soft case shows no rips, cuts, or discoloration. No obvious signs of water, heat, or smoke damage.
