I wiped this machine down and oiled it and was not able to locate any problems the gears all look great however it does break the thread before completing the hemstitch. They do still sell new needles for this model, and I believe I new pair would likely fix the thread break issue so it could sew properly. But a good cleaning of the tread path and bobbins area would also help. Would be a great candidate for a restoration it appears to be a complete machine that should really sparkle with some time and attention. Comes with a couple small NOS parts. (Piercers) And the hinge for table and original wood screws.
