The transmitter has four buttons; on, off, timer, and set. Use these buttons to manually turn the fireplace on or off, or have it turn off automatically by setting the timer. The timer can be set in fifteen minute increments, up to 3 hours. The LCD screen displays the room temperature in F or C. Transmitter will show room temperature but this is NOT a Thermostat controlled remote. This system operates on radio frequencies within a 20 range using non-directions signals. In order to operate this remote, you must have a junction box that is in working condition under your fireplace. We recommend making sure the junction box works before making your purchase.
