The Somaliland 5,000 Shillings banknote was released by the Bank of Somaliland in 2011. Featured on its obverse is the Bank of Somaliland building situated in Hargeisa. It also depicts trees and camels. The banknotes reverse boasts three camels and three goats. The note is 145 x 66 mm in size and carries a windowed security thread with a demetalized BOS 5000. It has no watermark but it bears the signatures of the bank governor Abdi Dirir Abdi and cashier Abdi Mohamoud Gullet. This particular Somaliland 1,000 Shillings banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been authenticated.
