Sterling Silver "Flip-Top Lid" Vesta Case by Gorham, c. 1912 * To preserve their qualities, I always handle my Silver Items with care. Never with bare fingers and hands. This is a pre-owned item with light wear & tear. It sells "As is". Vesta Case Specifications: - assayed by Gorham Manufacturing Company, c. 1912, according to the Gorham's Date Letters.- hallmarked accordingly ( B2149, this appears to be a serial number, but I didn't find any information about it). There's two additional silver marks on the opposite side; It appears to be a Patent Number (PAT.1910) & a Fish Symbol facing left. I do know the fish is a Gorham's Date Symbol meaning 1912.- This vesta case appears to have been personalized, probably by a previous owner, engraved initials are E.C.F./the opposite side was left blank and can be personalized as well.- Flip-top lid opens & closes with ease.- weights 0.890oz. & measures 1 11/16in. wide, 2 5/8in. tall & 3/8 of an inch, approximately.- Its craftsmanship is very pretty.- Stricker is in fair condition.
