The body of this antique bowl is encircled with impressive chased scrolling leaf decoration accented with simplified floral sprays. The decoration to the body of the bowl incorporates a scrolling bordered vacant shaped cartouche to either side. The shaped rim of this antique presentation bowl is encompassed with applied stylised gadroon decoration accented with eight mask designs above a plain pensile pendant drop motif to eah incurve. The domed portion of the foot is encircled with chased leaf designs and textures. This Victorian sterling silver bowl was crafted by the renowned London silversmith Charles Stuart Harris. The applied and chased decoration is all very sharp. Full hallmarks have wear in keeping with age and location, but remain legible.
