Alnico 5 magnets produce a clear tone with more pronounced highs and a tighter low end. It's the right combination for defined clean tones and overdriven sounds that don't get lost in the mix. They're custom-wound for each position for a perfectly balanced tone. The middle-position pickups are reverse wound, reverse polarity, for hum cancellation at the #2 and #4 switch positions. Low noise - Each pickup has a copper shield surrounding the coil, a modern feature for 60-cycle hum suppression not found on vintage pickups.
