Stunning, historical, Silver-plated Large Fruit Bowl, Cachepot or Centerpiece.Hand-hammered with a reticulated pedestal, a beaded bezel about its top ring and a history that might never be known. Can't place the age, brand, period, or style. It is without Hallmarks, Touchmarks or Branding of any kind, that I can find. Yet, this piece shines brightly, remains the eye candy on my Mahaghony sideboard, for every party I've ever had. It may once have had handles, for there are symmetrical mars where a handle would've been. A brief scratch shows some wear on the outside. The inside of the bowl tells another story, perhaps it was used as a cachepot for some elegant maiden hair or rabbits foot fern. Approximate Measurements: 10"h x 10.5"w
