This is an ORIGINAL, blank back/thin paper handbill (approx. 8 1/2" x 11", and printed prior to the shows) that was used to promote a series of early shows at the historic Grande Ballroom in Detroit. These shows took place December 9 & 10, 1966, and featured the MC5 (Avant Rock), Jagged Edge, Ourselves & Kynde. The classic comic-style psychedelic sixties image (describing a series of comic acid trips at the Grande) that adorns this handbill was designed by Rob Tyner of the MC5, and is just the 8th image in the Russ Gibb Grande series. This beautiful handbill has been very carefully preserved for over fifty years, and remains in BEAUTIFUL NEAR MINT condition.
