They are 60" long, with a 13" threaded winding at the peg end. That leaves 47" between the nut and tailpiece, so they should fit most 1/2 size instruments. They seem to be designed for the Kay/Engelhardt Jr. basses, which are a bit smaller than some 1/2 size basses. There is no commercial standardization of bass sizes, so PLEASE MEASURE your string length before ordering. These are brand new strings in old packaging from an estate liquidation. Since they are wound with nickel, they have not deteriorated from age. They are probably about ten years old. A good value for smaller basses. The Super Sensitive Red Label strings are well received by educators as a strong, reliable string for student performance. Bluegrass players also like the big sound.
