He continues: "Last year (2023) I purchased a set of plans from you folks. You invited me to send along a photo of the thing when I finished it, so here you are. I found the plans to be quite good, in general, but there turned out to be an error on the length of the heddle bars. It was an easy fix, and so I should have caught it early, but I simply went back to the shop and had them cut out the correct length, and re-worked them. I beefed up the back and breast beams for stability, and of course, I bought the heddles and the reed from a supplier. Turned the rollers on my wood lathe, and fashioned the gears as per the plans with a file. One note of caution: I am an experienced furniture-maker, but this was a fairly challenging project even so. I wouldn't recommend it for even the most-determined first-timer. I had a variety of woods lying around the shop, so I used curly maple, black walnut, teak, cherry and ebony at various places in the construction.
