This is a DCC safety system used for installation of an electric vehicle charger. In our case, it was used with a Tesla Level 2, and was removed by a licensed electrician when we re-did our garage electrical. It was in working order at the time. This also includes the current transducers (CT's) and cables needed to monitor the current usage. The original installation required two holes to be drilled in the top for conduit. These now have knockout plugs in them, as well as in one knockout that was used on the bottom. Save a few hundred bucks!
