This sensor provides the PCM with throttle plate movement necessary to optimize engine performance. Over time the THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR can fail due to high heat under the hood, worn contact points from high usage and normal wear and tear. Typical failure signs are Check Engine Light with DTC codes ranging from P0120 through P0125, engine hesitation when accelerating or rough engine idle.
