By connecting IP intercom exchanges (which permit connection of up to 16 stations per exchange) to a network (LAN or WAN), an optimal system for in-house or wide area information communications, such as duplex conversations between stations and paging broadcasts, can be constructed. Since up to 80 exchanges can be combined, systems of up to a total of 1,280 stations can be realized.
