This unit is a clone of an iconic distortion unite, equipped with Germanium transistors, from the 60's.Its simple electronic 2 transistors architepture is particularly happy because it produces a rich in tone distortionwithout denaturalizing the sound of the electric guitar. Its magical tones are due the sophisticated selection of its few electronic components.Resistors are Carbon Composition type. The capacitors in this unite are brand new and with the same electronic values and type of the original fuzz boxes of 60's. Note the polistirene capacitor inside.The italian T.Bender black box has 2 transistors Germanium type, Q1 is ACY10 with a gain around 60 hfe, the other one, Q2, is GT1-353 selected with a gain around 120. The ACY10 is a professional SFT337 or AC125 with industrial standards, very low noise and professional performances, the GT1-353 is a russian equivalent to the OC76 also called SFT353 built with military standards, low noise and great performances.All components are hand wired, mounted on a coated vetronite plate and carefully tested. The LOOK.The look of your unite is inspired by the early beautifull fuzz boxes produced in Italy in those years with the black alluminium screen printed label, the carateristic chickenhead knobs for Attack and Level controls, the IN and OUT sockets on top and with an elegant white led turning red when the effect is inserted in a way that is perfect in a 60's style looking box.Note: this unite can be powered with a common9V DC adaptor, central positive. Due this it can NOT be in the power chain with other effects but it needs its own adaptor.
