Script in fine vintage condition with age and handling. Mary (Alicia Silverstone), a precocious high school senior, longs to be a cop. She idolizes her late father, a policeman, and intently studies her favorite magazine, "True Crime." When a classmate dies and the case remains unsolved, Mary becomes obsessed, pestering a local cop (Bill Nunn). When she meets police cadet Tony (Kevin Dillon), the two decide to take up the investigation themselves, and romantic sparks soon fly. But Mary has no idea of the danger that awaits her.
