Two 8' 3-Section Photography Light / Backdrop Stands with 10mm / 3/8” Stud, Black Two nice medium quality light stands that are sturdy enough to last, but yet inexpensive enough for nearly any photographer’s budget. They are both in excellent condition and have little signs of use. These stands have 3 sections and are 8’ tall with a large 42” diameter footprint. They are topped with a 10mm x 1.5 metric stud with wing nut (the wing nut is not pictured, but is included). The tube sections are aluminum, the legs & hardware are steel. The legs have rubber tips to help prevent sliding. The stands have a collapsed length of 36”. We believe the metric stud attachment tips makes these tripods most suitable for supporting a 4-section backdrop or lighting cross bar. While we are on the subject of metric, the 10mm metric stud on this stand is very close to the diameter of a SAE 3/8” x 16 stud. Of course the threads are not compatible, but the metric stud will fit in the same size (plain/unthreaded) hole as an SAE stud will.
